Michelle Yeoh Receives Golden Bear as Berlinale 2026 Opens

The 76th Berlinale International Film Festival kicked off February 2026 with a glittering opening ceremony that brought Hollywood glamour and European cinema royalty to a rain-soaked Berlin.

Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh received an honorary Golden Bear for lifetime achievement from filmmaker Sean Baker, whose previous work Anora won the Palme d’Or at Cannes.
