Megha Barsenge follows the extraordinary journey of Megha, an ordinary girl from a middle-class family in Amritsar. Arjun, an IAS officer, encounters Megha while catching a con-artist targeting her friend. Mistaking Arjun’s toughness for arrogance, Megha continues with her arranged marriage to Manoj, who is secretly a lazy, manipulative man seeking a simple wife to fund his extravagant lifestyle. After their marriage, Manoj takes loans in Megha’s name and sabotages her visa, leaving her in Georgia and ceasing communication. Megha with Arjun’s help, travels to Georgia to find Manoj who deceives her into sympathy but soon reveals his abusive nature, culminating in him pushing her down the stairs. Arjun rescues Megha and helps her file for divorce. Arjuns love and affections help Megha learn to trust again, and he defies his aristocratic family to marry her. Through her struggles, Megha discovers life doesn’t end with abandonment, she finds hope and inspires other women to fight for financial stability, love and family.
