Prime Video Unveils Vibrant and Diverse Content Slate

In just a few years since its launch, Amazon Prime Video has cemented its position as a cultural phenomenon in India.

With close to 70 series and movies, with most of them premiering on the service over the next two years.

Original Series:

Prime Video continues to push boundaries with its original series, featuring narratives that reflect the complexities and nuances of our diverse world. From compelling dramas to innovative comedies, viewers can expect to be immersed in stories that celebrate cultural richness and explore universal themes.

With 40 Original series and movies, and 29 of some of India’s most anticipated movies, the new slate promises to bring the best of Indian entertainment to delight and engage customers.

The video streamer’s upcoming originals feature a wide array of series and movies spanning several genres in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Its original series includes Excel Entertainment’s Andhera, Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu-starrer Citadel: Honey Bunny, the Indian adaptation of the American espionage thriller, Karan Johar-backed Daring Partners, Siddharth Roy Kapur’s Matka King starring Vijay Varma, and The Revolutionaries, an adaptation of the book by the same name.

New seasons of older franchises such as Mirzapur, Paatal Lok, Panchayat and Suzhal- The Vortex will be the other attractions.


Prime Video’s commitment to diversity extends to its film offerings, with a diverse selection of cinematic gems from both established and emerging filmmakers.

Premiere original movies that will be released on the platform are Be Happy starring Abhishek Bachchan, Subedaar featuring Anil Kapoor and Chhorii 2, a sequel to the horror thriller that had also premiered on the service.

Theatrical movies such as Shahid Kapoor’s Ashwatthama- The Saga Continues starring, Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4, Kartik Aaryan’s Chandu Champion, Ranveer Singh’s Don 3 among others will be released on Prime Video.


In addition to its acclaimed original series and films, Prime Video is set to release a captivating array of documentaries that shed light on pressing social issues and untold stories from around the globe.

Amazon Prime Video will be rolling out a total of 27 original Indian series which include Gulkanda Tales, Daldal, Daring Partners, In Transit, Rangeen, The Great Indian Code, The Revolutionaries, Bandwaale, Waack Girls, Ziddi Girls, Ma Ka Sum, Dil Dosti Dilemma, Inspector Rishi, Gangs Kuruthi Punal, Snakes and Ladders, Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam, Sivarapalli, Arabia Kadali, and The Rana Connection, Citadel: Honey Bunny,Call Me Bae, The Tribe, Subedaar, Be Happy, Supermen of Malegaon.

The popular streaming platform will also be releasing new seasons of Paatal Lok, Bandish Bandits 2, and Suzhal – The Vortex.

In addition, the OTT giant will also release several original movies such as Subedar, Ae Watan Mere Watan, Be Happy, The Mehta Boys, Chhorii 2, Uppu Kappu Rambu Cheekati Lo, and Cheekati Lo.

Amazon Prime Video has also shared a list of movies that will be available on the platform after their theatrical release. The list includes Yodha, Bad Newz, Singham Again, Stree 2, Ikkis, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Don 3, Ustad Bhagat Singh, Yudhra, Madgaon Express, Agni, Chandu Champion, Game Changer, Ground Zero, Sanki, Baaghi 4, Housefull 5, Rayaan, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Kantara 2, Kanguva, and Ashwatthama – The Saga Continues.
