CII Networking Evening at IFFI Goa Celebrates the Immense Global Potential of India’s Media & Entertainment sector
The CII organised a spectacular networking evening – aboard the yacht at Kala Academy, Goa on the sidelines of IFFI Goa to commemorate India’s growing creative economy with Media and Entertainment (M&E) sector leaders. Ideas, invention, and cooperation flourished in Goa’s lovely setting.
The evening’s highlight was the announcement of the CII Big Picture Summit 2025, returning to Goa on November 18-19, 2025. The 2006-founded event combines conference programme, investor meetings, content sales and cutting-edge technical demos to harness the “India Advantage.”
CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee said, “The Indian M&E industry is a sunrise sector with a robust growth trajectory. Platforms like the CII Big Picture Summit help India engage in business expand content reach global audiences and realise its potential.”
India’s status as a worldwide M&E powerhouse will be strengthened by relationships across the creative, technical, and financial sectors at the CII BIG Picture Summit.
Ms Swati Salgaocar, Chairperson, CII Western Region & President, V M Salgaocar & Brotjher Pvt Lt made the opening remarks.
A lively panel discussion on “Indian Content Takes Flight” was led by NDTV Senior Managing Editor Nikunj Garg. The panel included industry leaders like:

Biren Ghose, MD—Asia Pacific & Global Executive Committee Member, Technicolor Group made the closing remarks focusing on the emerging India Opportunity.
With a 10-12% CAGR, India’s M&E market might reach $100 billion by 2030. The CII identified several growth drivers, such as the emergence of AVGC –XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics) as a high-value sector, global co-production and distribution opportunities through platforms like IFFI and Film Bazaar, and government policies like tax incentives and co-production treaties with 16 nations.
Celebrities including Shekhar Kapur, Boman Irani, and Nikhil Advani attended a networking boat party for drinks and discussions.
CII strengthened its commitment to promoting India as a global M&E leader and encouraging cooperation across geographies and disciplines with this unforgettable event.
