This year, five web series have been shortlisted for their artistic brilliance, storytelling finesse, technical excellence, and cultural impact.
The Best OTT Web Series Award comes with a cash prize of Rs. 10,00,000, which will be shared between the creators and the OTT platform, along with individual certificates recognizing their contribution to the series’ success.
This award accentuates IFFI’s commitment to nurture creativity and innovation in the entertainment sector. By incentivizing high-quality content creation in Indian languages and fostering collaboration among global creators and platforms, IFFI aims to position India as a hub for digital storytelling.
Lampan, which premiered on Sony Liv, stood out in a fierce competitive among submissions from major OTT platforms. The series, set in rural India, poignantly explores the emotional and social struggles of a young boy navigating his identity within the complex dynamics of his community.
