How did Bharat Hai Hum, the most unique Indian IP, come about?
Bharat Hain Hum stands as one of our most ambitious productions. The narrative of India’s 400-year quest for freedom is a remarkable tale, marked by the sacrifices of countless individuals who gave up their youth, wealth, dreams, and even their lives to liberate the nation. The series was the result of thorough research conducted by a team of committed scholars, led by a Professor of History. We assembled a team of dedicated writers who undertook this extensive research and crafted each episode with a clear and concise narrative. We conducted thorough research for the art of the show. The pre-production team conducted thorough research on costumes, architecture, weapons, armoury and the surrounding flora and fauna. The level of pre-production for each episodes far exceeds one that you would normal have for a 52 part series. More than 700 characters and over 3000 backgrounds were developed for the show. So you can see the scale of production is mammoth.
The show has experienced an outstanding debut! It stands as the largest multi-platform and multi-lingual release in India. The series debuted globally across more than 150 countries on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. This marks a groundbreaking achievement on a global scale! This series is truly inspiring, focussing on the heroes of the Indian Freedom Struggle. The series consists of 52 episodes, each lasting 11 minutes, and is offered in 19 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, and Korean. The series ranked among the Top 10 shows on Netflix during its first week. The series also was broadcasted on Sunday morning prime time nationwide on 28 channels of the public broadcaster Doordarshan. The series achieved impressive ratings on these channels and is presently being re-aired.
