IFFI Indian Film Personality of the Year Award Winner Inspires with Dedication and Versatility
Actor Vikrant Massey, celebrated for his powerful performances in films like 12th Fail and The Sabarmati Report, was honored with the Indian Film Personality of the Year award at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.
Reflecting on his journey, Massey expressed heartfelt gratitude: “I used to come to IFFI as a cinema lover. I never imagined that I’ll get so much love and respect. As we said in 12th Fail (2023), restart karna bahut zaroori hai as there will be ups and downs in life. Don’t give up,” he said.

Starting his career with television in 2007, Vikrant Massey rose to prominence with roles in shows like Balika Vadhu and Dharam Veer. Transitioning to films in 2013 with Lootera, he established himself as a versatile actor through performances in Dil Dhadakne Do, A Death in the Gunj, and 12th Fail, earning critical and commercial acclaim.
As an artist in streaming platforms, Vikrant Massey’s performances in series like Mirzapur and Criminal Justice have been equally impactful. His ability to connect with audiences through layered portrayals highlights his commitment to meaningful storytelling.
Speaking to aspiring actors, Vikrant Massey encouraged confidence and perseverance: “Aap kitne yogya hain, yeh aapke kapde ya angrezi decide nahin karegi. If you work hard and are talented, the industry will accept you with open arms.”
