Confederation of Indian Industry will organise the ninth edition of The Big Picture Summit Online from 16-18th December 2020.
The CII Big Picture Summit is a platform for the M&E CEOs to chalk out a roadmap for the future as well as understand the conditions that need to be kept in view in order to meet success. The Summit will bring expertise from the M&E sector across verticals within and outside India to discuss issues and ways ahead for the industry.
Declared by the Government of India as one of the champion sectors of the Indian economy, the M&E industry has had a tremendous impact on the lives of the people it has touched across the world.
The main objective of the Summit is to bring together the M&E Industry and the Policy Makers in one platform deliberate challenges and accelerate to work towards an convergence ecosystem. CII’s vision is to create growth templates in all M&E verticals and bring the industry together to speak in united voice for all major issues.
The Big Picture Summit has infused a new breath of life to this sector whose soft power can bring innumerable benefits to the Indian economy. It has brought a fresh mindset to leap forward in this sector.
M&E industry is undergoing a rapid transformation with the growth of broadband, mobile technologies, and digital media, all converging together to enable enhanced experience for the end-user and contributing significantly to the country’s GDP. Transcending borders, the industry has also proved its worth as an exporter of India’s soft power and an enabler of socio-cultural empowerment while creating thousands of jobs in the process. CII Big Picture Summit would reflect and deliberate on this.
The government, regulator, academia and civil society joined the discussion to suggest new ways to add up revenues and growth in this sector. The M&E growth is predominantly being fuelled by the digital segment with increasing consumption of content over the mobile Internet. Embracing Artificial Intelligence and Block-chain as new operating system will create a new wave of smart business strategies and modules for the Indian Media & Entertainment sector.
Active participation from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, the broadcast regulator TRAI and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry officials top up the value for media leaders to converge under one roof.
