Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL) has welcomed 100+ campus graduates from major tech colleges across the nation to its Technology and Innovation Centre in Bengaluru for its first-ever induction in a Metaverse environment.
Amit Goenka, President-Digital Businesses and Platforms, ZEE, and Nitin Mittal, President-Technology & Data, ZEE, addressed the group of hires. Zee’s Technology and Innovation Centre’s cutting-edge solutions like Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), Augmented Reality (AR), and Virtual Reality (VR) and state-of-the-art infrastructure were used to perform the Metaverse Induction, providing the new hires with an immersive mixed reality experience.
Speaking on the initiative, Goenka said that ZEE’s Technology and Innovation Centre is instilling a keen strategic emphasis on expanding the company’s digital capabilities through a confluence of technology, data, and talent. “We are excited to bring ZEE’s collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit in the physical and digital sectors together through an immersive setting like the metaverse as we create new ground and redefine entertainment by offering strong experiences across platforms.”
The first-ever metaverse induction programme at ZEE sought to improve employee experience by boosting innovation and productivity, as well as consumer experience by several notches. “Our goal is to provide intuitive experiences across all aspects of an individual’s consumption, creation, and transactional journey,” Goenka added.
Nitin Mittal, President-Technology & Data, ZEE, stated that Zee has been a pioneer in breaking the rules of the industry and producing path-breaking content for more than 1.3 billion people throughout the globe. “Our current focus is on developing ZEE’s capacity while utilising technology to offer our customers outstanding entertainment experiences.” The Metaverse Induction Program is yet another significant step in our mission to shape the future of India’s Media & Entertainment Industry,” he added.
The Technology and Innovation Centre at ZEE will take the lead in fostering the next wave of innovation in content consumption as digital transformation continues to spread across the globe. The ZEEverse is the latest in a series of significant steps taken by the company recently toward its internal digital transformation, which will help it become future-ready and succeed in the developing digital market.
