The partnership aims to boost global talent and innovation in creative technologies.
In a significant move to bolster cross-border academic collaboration, the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Deakin University, Australia. The formal signing took place at Waves Film Bazaar, a major cultural and business showcase running alongside the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025.
The partnership, part of the Australia–India Creative Collaboration initiative and supported by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), marks a shared commitment to advancing innovation, academic excellence, and interdisciplinary engagement in creative and technology-driven education.
“This collaboration strengthens our mission to nurture global talent and push the boundaries of immersive and interactive media education,” said Vishwas Deoskar, CEO of IICT.
The agreement will see both institutions join forces on academic programs, research, and training across creative and applied technologies. Plans include a series of workshops, masterclasses, and initiatives to promote student and faculty exchange, as well as industry partnerships designed to maximize real-world impact.
IICT also made its presence felt at Waves Film Bazaar with a dedicated booth, drawing delegates who participated in interactive activities and explored the institute’s educational offerings.
